Polar OLED materials showing photoluminescence under a 50Hz, 365nm UV light. The colour gamut possible from a single electroluminescent pixel is vast as the materials demonstrated here can be deposited in 3-dimensional layers to produce different colour combinations, including white light. The process of transferring these materials into application specific devices is under development with selected partner organisations.
